How to unlock the bootloader of MI Devices 
such as Redmi note 3, Redmi note 4, Redmi 4 etc

Precautions

• The following bootloader unlock procedure is only for Xiaomi smartphones. Do not try on any other Android device.
• Backup up all your personal data including SMS, contacts, images, videos, app data, etc.

Preparations and Requirements

• The battery of the device should be sufficiently charged. At least 75%.
• Make sure that you have internet to download all required files
• A PC or Laptop
• yeah of course a xiaomi smartphone with data cable

Applying for permissions

1.Login into MI account in your phone(if you don't have MI account then create new one from your phone settings)

2.Go here http://en.miui.com/unlock/ and click unlock now and login with the same MI account which you have used to login in your phone

3.After the successful login, you will get the application page

4.In that page, fill up the form correctly

• Enter your Name
• Select country code
• Enter your Phone number
• Write a valid and proper reason
• Agree the disclaimer by checking the box
• and finally click "Apply Now"

Warning: Submit your unlocking reason, please provide the real reason that why you want to unlock the bootloader of your phone in english only. if you copy the reason from any other tutorials then your application might be rejected.

5.Read the  disclaimer and check the box "I confirmed that i have read and accepted the unlocking Disclaimer"

6.finally click "Apply Now"

NOTE: you have to wait for few days to get approval for notification in your mobile via SMS, It may take more than week or more. you have to wait 

Procedures to unlock the bootloader 

To unlock your device bootloader you need to do the following steps

1.First you need to enable oem unlock, To do this, Go to the phone settings> about the phone >Tap MIUI Version option for several times (At least 10 times)

2.and go to get back to setting main menu then go to Additional settings and tap Developer options

Enable OEM Unlocking from developer options, Enable USB Debugging from developer options, bind your MI account under mi the mi unlock status

3.Login into Mi account on your phone which you have used before to unlocking bootloader

4.Go to settings> MI accounts> Accounts Security> Devices > other devices and remove all other devices that associated with your MI account

then you need to download the following programs to unlock your bootloader


5.Download MI PC suite from the link Click here to download
   Download MI unlock tool from the link Click here to download
 

6.Install the MI PC suite
   Extract the Mi unlock tool and open the MiFlashUnlock program

7.After opening the program you will see the disclaimer message, click Agree

8. Here you have to sign in with the same MI account which you have used to get unlocking permission and currently logged in your phone which you want to unlock

9.After the login, reboot your phone into fastboot mode. To open fastboot mode, switch off your phone and press the power button and volume down button at the same time, As soon fastboot mode will appear, now release all the buttons and connect your phone with computer using data cable, Now you will see the message "Phone connected"

10.Now click Unlock

NOTE: This process may take up to 5 Minutes to complete the unlocking process 

11.After that you will see the message "Unlocked Successfully" and click reboot to restart your phone in regular mode

12. Just kidding, There is no 12th steps, You are done!
